Accessibility

This site has been enhanced with a number of accessibility feature to provide a satisfying experience for everyone.

Navigate with Access key

The main navigation items can be accessed by pressing the 'Alt' key on your keyboard (CMD on the Macintosh), together with one of the following:

Alt +
1 = Home
2 = Skip to main contents
3 = About us
4 = Services
5 = Publications
6 = Associates
7 = Links
8 = IMPACT Network
9 = Contact
0 = Help

Most browsers will take you straight to that page, but in Internet Explorer this only selects the link. Press Return/Enter on your keyboard to activate it.

  • Firefox: ALT + SHIFT + (accesskey)
  • Mozilla / Seamonkey: ALT + (accesskey).
  • Opera: SHIFT + ESC gives you the list of available accesskeys.
  • Internet Explorer: ALT + (accesskey) selects the link. Press Enter to activate it.

Take control of your browser

Don't like the colours on this site? Is the font size too large or too small? This website has been designed so that you can take control over how it is displayed by changing the settings in your browser software.

Detailed instructions on how to change colour and font settings, turn off graphics or apply your own custom made style sheet can be found here: Guide to Accessible Web Design - User Control.

Website design

This site has been designed in compliance with the latest standards developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and using the latest accessibility techniques as recommended by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).

The layout techniques used here are not supported by older browsers such as Netscape 4. The content is still accessible, although in a linearized form [example]. If you want to enjoy this site in its full glory, we recommend upgrading to a modern browser (e.g. Mozilla Firefox).

The contents of this site should also be accessible in all user agents, including screenreaders and other assistive technology. Check the Accessibility section above for a list of Accesskeys and how to customize the look of the site to your liking.

Should you encounter any problems, please email me immediately at <webmaster@impact-associates.co.uk>. Feedback is not only welcome but essential to improve the site.
