- The National Bureau for Students with Disabilities. Promotes opportunities for young people and adults with impairments in post-16 education, training and employment. Provides information, student case studies, contact details for HE and FE disability services.
- EHRC - Equality and Human Rights Commission
- The Equality and Human Rights Commission champions equality and human rights for all in respect of disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, reassignment of gender, race, religion or belief. It began work in October 2007. The EHRC role is to provide information, advice, undertake research, provide education and training, issue codes of practice, carry out enquiries relating to its statutory duties, give legal assistance to take cases forward and award grants.

- Provide information, advice, training and resources on disability issues to the Scotish Funding Council and staff in Scottish higher education insitutions in relation to policy and legislation, curricular provision, and technology.

- Work UK-wide to ensure that Universities, Colleges of Further Education and Specialist Colleges and their staff receive relevant, timely advice and resources, with regard to technology and disability issues.

- A database of information resources on assistive technologies that are designed to help those with specific difficulties or disabilities work and study more effectively.
